Royal Pools® is committed to protecting your online privacy while providing you with the most useful and enjoyable web experience possible. While you can use many features of Royal Pools® anonymously, you are required to provide personal information for online warranty registration, requests for estimates or general information. We may occasionally send e-mails to notify you about important information, new product and special offers from Royal Pools®. If you would rather not receive these e-mail notifications, you may simply opt-out.
What types of information may we collect
While our forms differ slightly we may request information such as your name, address, phone number, email address, product information, retailer you purchased from or project budget. Our Find A Dealer pages utilize geo locators to simplify your use of the locator. You can choose to allow auto Geo Location by clicking the My Location Button. You also have the option not to allow this Geo Location by denying to allow your location to be disclosed. This is facilitated by using the security option settings in your browser and/or your browsers pop up alerts. We may also collect aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns and related site information. This data reflects site usage patterns gathered during thousands of customer visits to our web site each month, but it does not contain behavioral or identifying information about any individual user.
What is done with the information we collect
We limit employee access to the information you provide to only those employees who need to review the information to process the request you submit. In most cases information submitted is only retained until the request is processed and considered resolved. The exception would be warranty registration information. Warranty information will be retained for the life of the product warranty in order to support that warranty and any future claims made upon it.
How we use “cookies”
Like many other web sites, we may use cookies to create a more personalized online experience. When you use our site, we may store a cookie on your computer in order to facilitate and customize your use of our site. A cookie is a small data text file, which a web site stores on your computer’s hard drive that can later be retrieved to identify you to our site. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but allow you to modify security settings so you can approve or reject cookies on a case-by-case basis. Our cookies store randomly assigned user identification numbers for each session, and do not contain personal information. Even if you do not authorize the use of cookies, you may still access the core features of our site.
What we provide to third parties
Royal Pools® does not provide any third-party access to your personal information. In the case of requesting a pool estimate, we will send the information you provide to the dealer that you choose to receive the estimate from. By doing so, you are granting us permission to share this information with that Dealer. We may provide third parties with aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns and related site information. This data reflects site usage patterns gathered during thousands of customer visits to our web site each month, but it does not contain behavioral or identifying information about any individual user.
How we provide security
Royal Pools® secures all data and website sessions with the use of Sockets Layer (SSL). This is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server (website) and a browser, or a mail server and a mail client (e.g., Outlook). Royal Pools® also further protects data and user sessions by utilizing Website Security Scanning and Firewall Services to further protect you from security related issues such as malware, viruses, trojans, hidden redirects and other malicious security issues.
Do Not Track (DNT) Disclosure
DNT is a web browser setting that requests that a web application disable its tracking of an individual user. When you choose to turn on the DNT setting in your browser, your browser sends a special signal to websites, analytics companies, ad networks, plug in providers, and other web services you encounter while browsing to stop tracking your activity. To learn more about DNT and how to use your browsers security setting to adjust it, please visit: htps://allaboutdnt.com/
Tracking Options
The Network Advertising Initiative offers a central site where you can opt-out of certain kinds of tracking or ad targeting by its members. The Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) provides a consumer opt-out page for the companies participating in their Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising.
Some leading companies provide their own opt-out mechanisms for their registered users. For example, at these links you can control your opt-outs for Google, for Microsoft, and for Yahoo!.
